Phoenix has loads of culture and character, and everyone, including business travelers, wants to take some time to check out the sights and attractions. Visitors to Phoenix have multiple options for getting around, including light rail, bus service, bike share, and car share.

Phoenix Airport Transportation Options

If you are flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, you’ve got several options for getting from the airport to your destination. The area’s light rail system connects to the airport via the free PHX Sky Train service. In addition, taxis and pre-arranged car services are available. Hotel and rental car companies also provide complimentary shuttle service from the airport’s transportation center to your accommodations or parking area. 

Alternate Methods of Transportation in Phoenix

There are several transportation options for exploring Phoenix once you arrive at your destination in the city. Phoenix offers both light rail and bus service, as well as bike and car sharing.

Phoenix Light Rail and Bus Service

Phoenix’s Valley Metro Rail is a light rail line covering 28 miles and multiple cities. Trains run between 18-22 hours per day. Phoenix bus service covers much of the city, as well as rural routes: Day passes for the system are $4, and children under five ride for free.

Bike Share

Looking to get some exercise? Grid Bike Share is the bike share option in the city of Phoenix. Enjoy a Pay As You Go plan for 12 cents per minute or, if you’re going to be in town for a while, consider a 7-Day pass ($10 and includes 180 free minutes).
