Philadelphia's Best Public & Airport Transportation

Philadelphia offers plenty of options for getting around, including trains, mass transit, taxis, and car sharing. Taking some time before your visit to understand your options can help you plan and budget for your trip, while also making your travels as stress-free as possible.

Philadelphia Airport Transportation Options:

Getting to and from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is easy: The airport itself is conveniently located, and you can be in Center City (Philadelphia's main business district) in 20-30 minutes whether you take the train, hire a taxi, ride share, or opt to drive yourself.

Public Transportation: SEPTA trains run between Center City and PHL on the Airport Regional Rail Line. Trains run every 30 minutes from 4:52 a.m. to 11:52 p.m. (to the airport) and from 5:07 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. (from the airport). Three SEPTA bus routes operate out of Zone 1 of the Arrivals Road outside of baggage claim.

Ride Shares and Shuttles: Taxis and ride shares are also available, as are shared ride shuttles. To use shared ride shuttles or private car services, visit the Ground Transportation Information desks in the baggage claim areas. The attendants there will be happy to assist you in booking a ride.
